Livox- How it has Made a Difference in People’s Lives
Livox has helped thousands of individuals by providing a means of communication and education for
those who are non-verbal.
Important Characteristics
The Livox platform facilitates communication and education for the deaf, hard of hearing, and others
with cognitive disabilities.
There are three parts to it:
Livox, a piece of alternative communication software that has won several awards, may increase the
speed of communication for persons with impairments by a factor of 20 compared to standard
devices. Livox "understands" the context of the communication, and then displays possibilities for a
non-verbal person to express themselves, allowing you to have a conversation with the disabled
person. Livox automatically adapts to every impaired person's motor, cognitive, or visual
impairments because of the wide range of possible impairments.
The Livox Store is a digital library of accessible resources for persons with print difficulties. Free
content downloads are available to anybody, and content creation and distribution take just a few
minutes. Anything from alternate modes of communication to textbooks, classroom materials,
musical instruments, etc.
Decision-makers may use the MyLivox Portal to see where their students can study and whether or
not they are making progress via the use of this online application.
Positive Effects on Society
The number of disabled persons worldwide is estimated to be over a billion. They are the ones most
likely to be shunned by society. Despite all the help that has been provided, many disability-related
issues still have inadequate solutions that don't account for people's unique challenges.
Carlos Pereira developed Livox when his daughter, Clara, was born with Cerebral Palsy. As a result,
she is unable to move or communicate. Carlos's interest in enabling persons with impairments grew
from the time he learned of his daughter's condition.
People that use Livox are at the lowest bottom of society. Most of them are unhappy because they
are considered a burden since they can't communicate or because they have learning disabilities.
The vast majority of people who use Livox don't have any means of formal communication, including
email, banking, or a job.
As a result, more than 25,000 persons with impairments now have a voice and can participate fully
in mainstream classrooms thanks to Livox. Livox makes it possible for users of all abilities to access
and create instructional material. By providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to shine,
we are cultivating the next generation of Stephen Hawkings.
The Way Forward
People who are unable to speak or who have learning disabilities may be found in both high- and
low-income regions of the world. There are now 25 language options for Livox users. By 2021, we
want to have begun distributing Livox across Africa and the whole of Latin America.
The Livox Store is an integral part of the company's marketing strategy. The Livox shop has hundreds
of free pieces of content, but anybody may make and sell their material there. This is a
supplementary income stream.
